Is it a new Joomla install and what O/S are you running it on?

I'm no expert but 2 things that I would check..

1 - You need to change something in the .htaccess file

2 - A plugin for redirecting or search engine friendly names isnt configured properly.

Hi there,

1. It's a new Joomla install on Windows XP

2. I'm sure it's a problem from the .htaccess file, but I don't know how to solve it. For this I need help.

Thanks

Can you turn off "Search engine friendly" option and see if that resolves the problem?

If not, the .htaccess file is in the root of the Joomla installation. You need to download it and then you can alter it and ftp it back.

Any probs post back here and I will see if I can help.

Hi Chris,

The problem is solved.

The access under the URL domaninname.com/joomla/ is still an issue.

Maybe you can help me on this, too.

Thanks
