Welcome to Joomla User Group Suffolk

Hi there - I'm Johann Tasker, a web publisher / journalist / entrepreneur based on the Essex/Suffolk border north of Colchester.

I currently manage two sites using joomla. They are www.rsnonline.org.uk (joomla 1.5) and the smaller www.ruralservicescommunity.net (joomla 1.0).

The sites are mainly news-based with a forum but my current goal is to exploit joomla's community components (eg community builder) and blog elements combined with JACL or similar so users can fully exploit the benefits of the network and interact with one another.

We had our first meeting this evening in Ipswich, where we had 6 like minded people all intrested in Joomla! in the Brewery Tap. Next month we are down Felixstowe for a gathering if you can make it, it would be great to see you.
