We are intending to become a Location for the Joomla! Pizza Bugs and Fun (PBF) Day on Saturday,3rd of March. The event is global for virtual participants with local venues where ever they are organized. At the last PBF day they managed to squash a lot of bugs, but as more people use a new release, we always find more. But as with every new release the documentation needs updating and extending.
Our goal is assist Joomla to work on coding and testing issues in the CMS Issue Tracker. The coding will obviously require programmers to do, but you don’t need to be able to code to test. You will need to set your computer up to run Joomla locally (for instance, with XAMPP) and be able to apply patches. To do documentation, all you need is a login to the Joomla documentation wiki. If you don't already have one you can register on the site at http://docs.joomla.org. Make sure you register a few days in advance because sometimes the automatic spam filter won't activate you for a few days.
Are usual venue is not available to us on that so we are looking for a suitable alternative for free. If anyone has any suggestions of venues please contact Matt.
We are pleased to announce that we have found a venue willing to loan the use of their meeting room for the day to go ahead, thank you very much to Jackson Civil Engineering for this.
