Hello [FIRSTNAME] and welcome to the latest Joomla User Group Suffolk Newsletter!
September meeting - Bury St Edmunds
Thank you to everyone who attended the September meeting in Bury St Edmunds, at Benson's Bar and Grill. A good venue to hold the meetings, and a good crowd of attendees! The presentation on Security in Joomla! is now available under About Us> Presentations.
We will be continuing to move the meetings around the area, as this seems to be successfully attracting a range of attendees to each area. We will also endeavour to alter the days, to ensure that we're not holding the meetings on the same day each month.
October meeting - Stowmarket
We now have a venue for the October meeting, which will be held on Monday, 5th October 2009 at the Walnut Tree pub in Stowmarket. Please sign up in the usual way under Event Registration if you would like to come along. Ruth will be doing a talk on the features of the template override function that is available with Joomla 1.5.x.
There will be space for lifts from Ipswich - please get in touch if you would like a lift.
November meeting - Aldeburgh
We will be holding our November meeting in Aldeburgh - date and time are currently being confirmed with the venue.
December meeting - Lowestoft
Simon Keeble from Blue Lobster IT has kindly provided a venue for the December meeting in Lowestoft. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 2nd December at their offices: Unit 8, Quayside Business Centre, Lowestoft Enterprise Park, School Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk. NR33 9NW. There will be lift shares from Ipswich and Felixstowe, and we encourage people to take this opportunity to save the planet :)
Hints & Tips
At the September meeting we discussed a few hints and tips which we had found out, or wanted answers to. Matt and Ruth are in the process of writing these up and they will be added to the Hints & Tips section over the next few days. Have you seen the latest articles?
Merging emails from Access Database with attachments
Came across a brilliant site for anyone doing exciting stuff with Word. I needed to do a mail merge from an access database, into emails, with an attachment (and possibly more than one in the future).

Pagination links not working in article index?
I came across this issue which completely baffled me!
I have a site which is using Artio JoomSEF for it's SEF url generation, and lots of very long articles which needed splitting into pages, however using the page break feature was generating URL's which pointed at /#page1 when they should link to /pagename/#page1.
We need you!
