September Meeting
Due to the cancellation of the August meeting, we're holding the September meeting at Benson Blake's Bar and Grill in Bury St Edmunds - the Agenda and Minutes are attached, which were circulated with the last newsletter.

As usual, we will be meeting from 7pm, for a 7.30pm start. Please note that the meeting date is WEDNESDAY 2 SEPTEMBER, not Tuesday as previously stated.
We now have an online sign-up system which should allow us to have an idea of who will be attending the meetings in advance! You can sign up by logging into the site and clicking on Event Registration.
If anyone needs a lift, we have cars going from IPSWICH and FELIXSTOWE with spare seats - please email enquiries@joomlasuffolk.co.uk and help us do our bit to save the planet!
Joomla! 1.6a available
For those of you keen to get your hands on the latest version of Joomla! 1.6, you can do so via the SVN repository. Please note this SHOULD NEVER be used on production sites and you should expect to find bugs and errors, as it is still in very early alpha testing.
The link to the 1.6 trunk latest SVN is http://joomlacode.org/svn/joomla/development/trunk/ - you will need an SVN client to use this effectively such as Tortoise SVN. You can find out more here: http://developer.joomla.org/code.html
Have you heard?
A really useful extension came to my attention via Twitter a few days ago, called Eyesite. This allows you to monitor your sites, and have an email sent to you whenever any files are modified. Sure, it might be a bit of a pain if you're actively working on the site, but it's a major help in sites you set up and don't touch for a while. Almost an early warning system to alert you that something might be going on!
You set how frequently you want to be emailed which runs as a cron task on the server.
